That first meeting in 2023 gave each partner the opportunity to share information about their challenges, capacity, strengths, and future potential.

The AVSI Latin America Network in 2022 made an investment of forty million dollars to implement 95 projects, directly benefiting 861,144 people in 12 countries in the region: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and the Dominican Republic.

Through this opportunity to share 2022 results, 2023 objectives, expected results and the elements of value, the network can strengthen its collective work in various international development sectors, including: climate change and environment, energy, water, education, job training and labor insertion, urban development and sustainability, agriculture, food security, justice and violence prevention, and migration.

Composed of different subjects, driven by the same ideal, the AVSI Latin America Network brings an innovative vision of the region which gives original and creative responses to local needs, without losing connection with the global context, and always emphasizes the importance of partnerships for sustainable development.

This approach makes the Network well-positioned to contribute to accomplishing the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

In mid-June of this year, the 2nd meeting will be held in-person in São Paulo, Brazil, with the aim of further strengthening the Network strategy in the region and building a plan for the coming years.
