Stakeholders

AVSI’s stakeholders are all internal and external actors whose interest is related to the organization’s activities

“For a long time I had been working with the women of my town, San Luis Morelia, but I had never thought that we could consider ourselves “artisans of peace.” Thanks to the project “Polo for Participatory Citizenship” (funded by the European Union), we had the opportunity to meet other organizations like ours and local institutions. So I became aware of what peace building, actually building peace, means.”

Patricia Silva Lopez
Director of “Mujeres en Desarollo para el progreso de San Luis Morelia,” an association working to foster women empowerment in the communities of Sierra Mixteca, Mexico

No one is saved alone. That is, no one will build his or her future alone. There are no (winning) "projects" that do not require partnerships or alliances, the involvement of a plurality of stakeholders. There are no more answers that are not a contribution to a wider "system," which bring innovation and unconventional solutions.

Giampaolo Silvestri, AVSI Secretary General at the Learning event "Beyond development. The future we want"
