The trip of Pope Francis in Congo and South Sudan: a webinar to learn more about “God-forsaken countries?”

The reality of South Sudan and Democratic Republic of Congo: a webinar promoted by AVSI to learn about the problems and potential of the countries that Pope Francis will visit in February.

Pope Francis will be making a historic visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan in early January.

To help you prepare for the trip AVSI organize a webinar with its representatives in both countries on Monday, January 16 at 3 p.m. (Italian time).

Available to take your questions and help you better understand the difficult realities in both countries will be:

  • From Juba - Gino Barsella, country representative South Sudan and Elizabeth Anon, programme officer – gender advisor.
  • From Goma - Daniele Mazzone, country representative DRC and Providence Bireke, RH Manager.

Maria Laura Conte, communications director for AVSI-People for Development, will moderate from Milan.

The webinar will be held in Italian and English.
