Education is hope in Cameroon
Health education, care, instruction and job placement: support 1000 street kids at the Edimar center
In Cameroon, the number of minors living on the streets is extremely high. They are often young people who have fled from contexts of great poverty or difficult family situations and have moved from rural areas to cities, but without finding a job and a stable source of income. With the Tende Campaign, AVSI supports the work of the Edimar Center, an important refuge for these children in Yaoundé since 2002. It offers them medical care, psychological support, professional training, job placement and is an example of how education starts first and foremost with care for others.
