AVSI Foundation is pleased to announce the success of Cohort One of our “Sustainable Market Inclusive Livelihood Pathways to Self-Reliance (SMILES)” project.
This accomplishment illustrates the practicality of the Graduation model while integrating Market Systems Development in building sustainable livelihoods, self-reliance, and resilience. With funding from the IKEA Foundation and partnership with REPARLE, Makerere University, and DAI, in its first cohort, this cutting-edge initiative has significantly improved the lives of over 6,205 households in Uganda.
As we commemorate this noteworthy achievement, we intend to host a series of webinars to share insights and successes from this life-changing program. These conventions will function as forums for learning, discussion, and collaboration with the goal of demonstrating the impact of the Graduation model in development programs.
