On the occasion of its 50th anniversary, AVSI promoted a learning event designed as an opportunity for listening and discussing on the main challenges international development cooperation is called to face.

The event took place on October 26, 2022 at the MAXXI museum in Rome and online. It was attended by Ministers, senior officials from international cooperation entities, the European Union, representatives of the private sector and civil society, and experts on issues such as education, climate change, and migration.

The conference opened with a message by the Italian President Sergio Mattarella and speeches by Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See, and Antonio Tajani, Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Beyond Development, the Future We Want

The event sparked debate on how the development cooperation sector has changed over the years and how it can further evolve in the future.
