In 1996, with the support of AVSI, FDP - Protagoniști în educație was born in Romania. FDP is active with local community development projects, with a focus on the most vulnerable youth and children
Through extracurricular activities, educational and psychosocial support also aimed at families, FDP aims to reduce school dropouts and improve access to education.
During the COVID-19 emergency, FDP and AVSI provided several emergency interventions in Romania, including:
- direct assistance to vulnerable people through delivery of basic necessities
- distance support and counseling activities with families and/or minors in need
- sSupport to education by providing tablets for 30 children
