Project Assistant HOME 3

The Project Coordinator will support the effective implementation and coordination of the Home 3 Project within the child protection sector, focusing on alternative care, fostering, family strengthening, and prevention of child abandonment. The role ensures timely delivery and quality of project activities, proper planning and monitoring, and strong coordination with field teams, partners, and institutional stakeholders, contributing to strengthening services for minors and promoting family-based care solutions.

Principali compiti e responsabilità

Project Management and Implementation
• Ensure effective implementation of project activities in line with approved plans and timelines
• Develop and monitor detailed work plans (monthly and quarterly)
• Track progress against targets and ensure timely delivery of results
• Identify operational challenges and propose corrective actions
• Prepare project reports (monthly, interim, and final) and any other reports required by donors, including the preparation of potential cost or no-cost project extensions.

Coordination and Supervision
• Coordinate project staff, service providers and partners
• Support supervision of field activities to ensure proper implementation
• Ensure consistency and quality of interventions across project locations

Technical Oversight (Child Protection & Alternative Care)
• Support implementation of approaches related to:
o alternative care and fostering systems
o family strengthening
o prevention of child abandonment
o positive parenting practices
o Case management
• Ensure activities align with national child protection standards and guidelines
• Contribute to strengthening service delivery mechanisms for vulnerable children and families

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
• Oversee data collection processes and ensure accuracy and completeness
• Monitor project indicators and support preparation of internal and donor reports
• Contribute to documentation of lessons learned and good practices

Stakeholder Engagement
• Maintain regular coordination with relevant government institutions and service providers
• Support organization of coordination meetings, trainings, and workshops
• Participate in sectoral coordination meetings and report to Management.

Requisiti essenziali

• University’s degree in social sciences, Development Studies, Project Management, or related Child Protection fields
• A master’s degree is considered an asset.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project coordination or management roles
• Preferred experience in child protection and alternative care.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Fluency in English

• Proven ability to manage project implementation processes with a high level of autonomy
• Experience in supervising teams and coordinating community-based interventions
• Strong understanding of child protection systems and family-based care approaches
• Experience in working with government institutions, donors, and partners
• Good knowledge of monitoring and reporting tools
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• High level of responsibility, proactivity, and attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with donor-funded projects is an asset
