The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the humanitarian project founded by OCHA in Haiti, in accordance with the organization’s strategy, the needs of vulnerable populations, and donor requirements.
Salary: €4,000–€4,500 net per month.
Working Conditions:
• Based in Port au Prince
• May require travel to remote and insecure areas.
• Must be adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.

Main tasks and responsibilities

1. Coordinate and supervise project implementation in liaison with local coordinators and relevant stakeholders, ensuring proper planning and monitoring of activities.
2. Manage the financial and logistical aspects of the project, including budget tracking, procurement, and donor reporting.
3. Supervise and support the local field team, ensuring motivation, training, and adherence to operational and safety procedures.
4. Maintain liaison with local authorities and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with humanitarian standards, PSEAH, and Child Safeguarding policies.
5. Monitor and evaluate project indicators, produce progress reports, and recommend adjustments to improve effectiveness and impact.
6. Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with local, national, and international institutions working on the project’s thematic area, in coordination with the country representative and field coordinator.
7. Coordinate, and if necessary, directly undertake community negotiation activities required for the project mandate, particularly considering the complexity of community violence dynamics.
8. Serve as a point of contact for expert missions and external consultants involved in the project.
9. Manage financial resources in accordance with donor and AVSI procedures.
10. Monitor and evaluate results, including contributing to the Haitian focal point for the knowledge center.
11. Provide inputs to the communication focal point.
12. Prepare internal and donor reports and support accountability processes.

Essential Requirements

• University-level degree or higher.
• At least 8 years of experience in Development Cooperation or Humanitarian Aid. Experience with OCHA represents an added value
• Training or work experience in the field of food security and/or cash transfer programs.
• Experience in emergency and/or crisis contexts.
• High adaptability, strict adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work under stress, in insecure conditions, and in volatile contexts.

Additional Qualifications:
• Prior experience working with humanitarian donors.
• Previous experience in Haiti.
• Experience in similar humanitarian contexts, demonstrating a high capacity for adaptation.
