The Marketing Expert will be responsible for the marketing assessment, research and activities within a AICS-funded project in the sector of heritage.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Conduct research about the market of mud bricks production and tourist-cultural sector.
• Identify and implement marketing strategies for a consortium operating in tourist-cultural sector.
• Design and implement marketing plan for an association made up of experts in the mud brick production.
• Identify events and fairs to promote the work of the association and the consortium.
• Conduct trainings on marketing and business development to members of the association and the consortium.
• Support the archaeologist in coordination of activities for the association and the consortium.
• Keep record of the direct beneficiaries of the project and prepare weekly and monthly reports as per needs of the project.
• Work in close collaboration with the MEAL department for data collection and marketing assessment tools
• Maintain the archiving system up to date (both in hardcopies and electronically).
• Monitor the coaching process and visit periodically the beneficiaries.
• Support the technical team in the distribution of the packages and materials.
• Perform any other relevant duties within the scope of the project as required.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications/ business management or related.
• 3 years of experience as a marketing specialist or similar role.
• Solid organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Ability to gather large amounts of data and convert it into meaningful analysis.
• Clear understanding of marketing trends in the tourist/archeological sector.
• Ability to solve problems independently with innovative and creative approaches.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English language.

Required skills and experiences

• IT skills: Ability to effectively use standard office software, such as MS Office (Windows, Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Exchange, ActivityInfo).
• Excellent communication skills in building relationships with local contacts.
• Good attitude and experience in working with partners.
