The AVSI Foundation – ETS is a Third Sector Entity that has been engaged for over 50 years in international cooperation, humanitarian aid, and emergency projects. As part of its activities and initiatives, it intends to establish a pool of accredited professionals with whom to sign a multi-year framework agreement for the provision of on-demand services for the production of videos and photographic reportages.
This selection procedure aims to establish a list of accredited professionals – including photographers, videomakers, and video editors – for the production and management of audiovisual content in Italy and in countries where AVSI operates.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Creation and production of audiovisual content: planning, shooting, and editing of informative, institutional, and narrative videos.
• Professional photography services: documentation of projects, events, field missions, and communication campaigns.
• Collection of material on the field: images, sounds, testimonials, and interviews with beneficiaries, staff, stakeholders, and partners.
• Content for digital communication: materials suitable for websites, mass media, social media, newsletters, and other channels.
• Editing and post-production: video editing, audio synchronization, and format adaptation.
• Multilingual production: translations and subtitling for international dissemination.
• Compliance with guidelines and ethical codes: adherence to directives on privacy, dignity, and responsible use of images.

Essential Requirements

• Documented professional experience of at least 5 years in the required role, including in international or multicultural contexts.
• Operational autonomy in fragile and humanitarian crisis contexts, with attention to AVSI’s ethical, cultural, and safety codes.
• Technical proficiency in audiovisual production and post-production (shooting, editing, basic audio).
• Experience in collecting and managing testimonials and interviews in social or humanitarian settings.
• Availability to travel on short notice, both in Italy and abroad.
• Knowledge of English and/or at least one of the following languages: French, Spanish, Portuguese (please specify).
• Updated portfolio with at least 3 relevant works.

Required skills and experiences

• Experience in the humanitarian or international cooperation sector.
• Previous collaborations with NGOs, UN agencies, or institutional donors.
• Familiarity with the social, political, and cultural contexts in which AVSI operates.
• Skills in writing communication texts and adapting content for web and social media.
• Ethical sensitivity in visual representation of vulnerable subjects, documented by previous experience or training.
• Relevant technical certifications.
• Knowledge of copyright law, privacy, and consent management for use of images and testimonials.
