The main target of the project is to promote legality and good practices in sustainable management by setting up a framework for exchange and training among EU customers, exporters and small and medium-sized enterprises in the Côte d'Ivoire
The project aims at reaching four main goals:
- To improve the knowledge of local SMEs which are working in the international market, in terms of legality and sustainable management
- To improve local SMEs’ ability to enhance raw material (Partner Federlegno Arredi will send experts from Italy to Ivory Coast to provide training)
- To improve the operators’ overall understanding of international market needs and to enhance producers-custumers relationship in order to counterillegal deforestation.
- Provide visibility to the project and share results and lessons learned.
In may 2017 four carpenters, three men and a woman, traveled to Milan to take part in a training held by Federlegno
