AVSI Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization registered under Public Benefits Organization. AVSI provides service in development and humanitarian assistance and brings strong management and innovative strategies to programs promoting and improving dignified living conditions under various thematic areas; including Health, renewable energy, Food security, urban development, Education in development and in emergency, Child protection, youth skilling and Job creation orphans and other vulnerable children and adolescents (OVC).

AVSI implements cooperation projects in various sectors with a preferential focus on education, meaning that the person is accompanied towards self-discovery and recognition that the other person is a resource. Each project is conceived as an instrument to promote this awareness in everyone involved, has in itself a need for communicating and sharing, and creates an impact capable of generating a positive change.

AVSI in partnership with e-Mobilis is implementing AjiraForShe apprenticeship program, a women empowerment internship initiative focusing on women in the Ajira Digital Program with an aim to build women’s confidence in taking up digital job opportunities and enhancing their already- gained skills through on-the-job training.

We are seeking to engage 9 young women trained on Ajira digital modules for three (3) months for cohort 1 starting October 2026 and with end date 31 December 2026.

Job Summary

This programme include placement in specific departments where apprentices will receive mentorship in their areas of trainings in digital enabled works. This will enable apprentices to apply their existing knowledge while acquiring practical, digital and workplace skills relevant to their intended career pathways.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Support project beneficiaries upscale the use of digital saving and loaning platform among saving groups.
2. Support communication department in project documentation.
3. Assist in the project design intervention workflows, service delivery models and daily realities of target populations.
4. Support in social media activities including drafting social posts, posters, providing digital analytics and making proposals to increase followings or grow the pages.
5. Data Verification and entry of field data into activityinfo.
6. Assist the MEAL Manager in designing and/or updating the MEAL tools.
7. Contribute to data collection, analysis, and documentation of all program MEAL-related data, ensuring that all records are properly organized and stored.
8. Promoting the sharing of written feedback about impact/outcome and learning findings to the program team and stakeholders.
9. Assist in mobilizing project participants for Ajiradigital trainings.
10. Participating in external project or organizational wide events.
11. Support in IT related duties.
12. Assist finance team in updating and data entry into the dynamics.
13. Support HR department in transition of paper-based records to digital records.
14. Abide to the institutional policies and procedures while undertaking your internships. assignments.
15. Any other duties delegated by the supervisor.

Essential Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma or a Degree in Social Sciences, Project Design, Human Resources, Finance, IT, Commerce or any related field.
• MUST be young women aged 18 – 35 years.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to pay attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
