The Social Worker will be responsible of implementing and following up project’s activities in Anjara (Ajloun Governorate)
Social Worker (National Position)
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Support the Area Coordinator in developing the work plan of each project’s activity, organize, implement them and ensure that they are executed as per the shared calendar;
- Responsible of the identification (home visits and phone calls), assessment (FGDs, interviews to the beneficiaries) and follow up of vulnerable beneficiaries in Anjara throughout the project, in coordination with the MEAL Staff;
- Responsible of the identification of potential Protection cases and referral to the Case Managers;
- Support the Area Coordinator in the preparation and follow up of the cash distribution to the beneficiaries in the area of responsibility;
- Support the organization of all Protection activities in Anjara, in collaboration with local partners;
- Support the MEAL Department in monitoring the quality of implemented activities, their impact, and beneficiaries’ participation;
- Prepare and archive relevant documents (such as Activity Reports, beneficiaries’ Attendance Sheets, etc.), including photos and videos;
- In charge of regular data collection from field and reporting to supervisors;
- Proven and documented weekly communication with the Area Coordinator and Protection Coordinator;
- Any other activity requested by the Project Manager.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in social work;
- Bachelor Degree in relevant subject (Social Work, Psychology, Education, Development or Humanitarian Studies, etc.);
- Good oral and written communication skills in English and proficiency in Arabic;
- Strong organizational and team working skills.
Required skills and experiences
- Experience in working with vulnerable and refugee communities and on protection issues;
- Understanding of safeguarding based approach;
- Good reporting and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to mobilize communities and stakeholders;
- Good knowledge of the local context (Anjara);
- Flexibility and adaptability;
- Acquaintance with Microsoft Office: Word and Excel;
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries;
- Empathy and respect for diversity.
