SELECTION OF A SERVICE PROVIDER FOR INTEGRATED URBAN DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES

Fondazione AVSI – ETS is a Third Sector Entity engaged for over 50 years in international cooperation, humanitarian aid, and emergency projects. Its mission is to work with individuals and communities in developing countries to restore dignity and build resilience in the face of poverty and marginalization. AVSI believes that the development of equitable, efficient and sustainable urban spaces is fundamental to improving living conditions and quality of life for communities. Well-planned urban environments enhance access to education, social rights, basic services, and economic and cultural opportunities, while also fostering social cohesion and the exchange of experiences. Since 1990, AVSI has been supporting communities and local authorities in Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East, building on its early experience in community participation initiatives in Brazil. Today, AVSI operates in both emergency and development contexts across informal settlements and cities in several countries including Mozambique, Kenya, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sierra Leone, Côte d’Ivoire, Tunisia, Lebanon, and Jordan. AVSI provides technical assistance in urban planning, infrastructure development, basic service provision, local economic development, social inclusion, and cultural heritage valorisation. The objective of the request for services is to provide Fondazione AVSI - ETS with technical consulting services to support its action in the sector of Integrated Urban Development.
