AVSI commitment to safeguarding

AVSI demonstrates a commitment to zero-tolerance for sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment as well as any type of unethical behavior in according to our Code of Ethics, PSEAH Policy,  Whistleblowing Policy and Child Safeguarding Policy.

AVSI expects that all staff share this commitment, thus it is our priority to recruit candidate who upholds our values, code of conduct and expectation by proceeding with reference check which aims to verify prior misconducts.

In line with that, AVSI has endorsed the Inter-Agency Scheme for the Disclosure of Safeguarding-related Misconduct in Recruitment Processes within the Humanitarian and Development Sector.

In line with this Miscondut Disclodure Scheme, we will proceed with reference check from job applicants’ previous employers to be aware of any findings of sexual exploitation, sexual abuse and/or sexual harassment during employment, or misconduct under investigation. By submitting an application, the job applicant confirms his/her understanding of these recruitment procedures.

AVSI also commits to respond to the request of such reference check from other organizations.
